What is Baptism?
Baptism is a public declaration of faith whereby an individual signifies their repentance from past transgressions and embraces a new life in Jesus Christ. It serves as a symbolic act, representing the renunciation of one's former self and the embrace of a new life in Jesus.
Why should we receive Baptism?
There are compelling reasons why every believer should partake in Baptism. Foremost, it is a divine commandment from Jesus Himself. In Matthew 28:19 (KJV), Jesus instructs His disciples, saying, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, In Jesus Name.” Furthermore, Jesus set an example by undergoing baptism at the commencement of His ministry, emphasizing its significance.
Baptism assumes a profound role in the spiritual journey of every Christian believer. By undergoing baptism, individuals publicly declare their belonging to the Lord Jesus Christ and solemnly commit their lives to Him.
